I choose to find daily inspiration and beauty. The love of my husband keeps me grateful and believing in soul mates. I’m an artist trying to capture small moments in life - for they hold us together. I admire truth and creativity in others. I love thunderstorms and I desire to travel the world. My perfect afternoon at home would include vases full of gerbera daisies, Mexican food, a great movie and snuggling with my dog.
Here you will find a daily list of my favorite things. May it be a place that helps you take notice of all the glorious things around us on a day to day basis that are wonderful, beautiful and worth being thankful for.

Today’s Favorites 4.17.08 are…

• I feel really good about the amount of work (cleaning) I got done in our room and bedroom. It was so long overdue that the process wasn’t enjoyable but the result was worth it. It is like my Mom always told me - “At least make your bed, if the bed is made, the room looks so much better.”

• I enjoyed reading my new Real Simple. I finally had a chance to start scanning the new issue.

• I had a moment today at Dance practice where a couple of our 2009 seniors really stood out to me. It hit me all the sudden that this would be their last “Home Routine” - the last time they would prepare for summer camp and the last time I would see their leadership in the first month of practice time. In the first moment I feared I would tear up, ( I think I will do that a lot this coming year) but then I smiled with so much pride. They are amazing young ladies and I am so very proud of what they have brought to this team over the years. I couldn’t ask for any more from them. They bring a lot of light into my life.

• I came home to a husband hard at work on dinner. He made my “lentil mash” again with rice. It was delicious.

• I also came home to a really sweet card from my Dad. I also had a chat with him on the phone. I like that my Dad cares about what I think about politics and the current race. I like that he listens to me and that we can share ideas like friends. He is one of my all time favorite people to talk to.
