• I woke up a little more excited because my Queen Of The Screen was going to be on GMA this morning. Ms. Paltrow is out promoting Iron Man (opening this weekend, and believe me, I will be there to support her). She looked radiant as always. I am looking forward to having her back in films!

• I felt inspired to work on a project this morning - creative juices were working.

• Seeing the three of our shadow’s in the street tonight was really cool. While Shane and I walked Dreyfuss, I found myself watching how our dog’s silhouette had a bounce in his step. It is proof that the sun is trying to come and stay for a while and warmer weather is upon us.

• Neil Diamond was on AI tonight. I LOVE Neil Diamond! I always have! My Dad instilled that in me, I associate his music with car rides to school. My Dad, who never watches AI, even tuned in tonight to hear the songs. It was fun to chat with him about the show afterwards. P.S. David Cook should have sang “America” instead of David A. Just my opinion!

• My fleece blanket my Mom made me came out of the dryer tonight, all warm and free of dog smell. All in time for TV snuggling!

Friday

• I had a great appointment for work. I am really looking forward to the possibilities that are opening up for my mural business.

• I had the best time on our “date” with Brad and June! Shane won the Oscar night at our Young Adult Party and the winning prize was dinner with Brad and June. They made it such a fun evening! They came and picked us up and took us to McCormick and Schmick’s for dinner - Brad even made reservations! We had a private booth with a curtain and everything. It was so fun! Then they came back to our house and watched Juno with us. The best part of the night was our conversations though. I absolutely adore both of them and admire them very much! Thank you both!

Saturday

• We slept in!

• Shane went out and picked up coffee and C-rolls and brought it back to enjoy in bed.

• We spent the day completely relaxing together! We watched FOOD network all morning, we walked the dog in the afternoon and took a nap later on. It was awesome!

• We had a Dance Team social - we all ate at Chapala and then headed to the Olathe North Spring Show. It was a great production. Sister and I always have fun hanging out with our girls.

Sunday

• I am really enjoying our class at church right now. Shane and I are taking a Premarital Counseling class and it has been filled with great conversations and ideas. I like the people in our class a lot too so that helps.

• Our friend’s kiddo Tanner came and sat with us today during the service. He is so cute - he made me laugh!

• Having lunch with Sidna. We had such a nice visit - what a sweet woman!

• Nap time after lunch.

• Shane is working on a new website for Alli Arnold Art. I am really excited about it because he is creating it so I can manage it and update it on my own.

• I feel really good about the amount of work (cleaning) I got done in our room and bedroom. It was so long overdue that the process wasn’t enjoyable but the result was worth it. It is like my Mom always told me - “At least make your bed, if the bed is made, the room looks so much better.”

• I enjoyed reading my new Real Simple. I finally had a chance to start scanning the new issue.

• I had a moment today at Dance practice where a couple of our 2009 seniors really stood out to me. It hit me all the sudden that this would be their last “Home Routine” - the last time they would prepare for summer camp and the last time I would see their leadership in the first month of practice time. In the first moment I feared I would tear up, ( I think I will do that a lot this coming year) but then I smiled with so much pride. They are amazing young ladies and I am so very proud of what they have brought to this team over the years. I couldn’t ask for any more from them. They bring a lot of light into my life.

• I came home to a husband hard at work on dinner. He made my “lentil mash” again with rice. It was delicious.

• I also came home to a really sweet card from my Dad. I also had a chat with him on the phone. I like that my Dad cares about what I think about politics and the current race. I like that he listens to me and that we can share ideas like friends. He is one of my all time favorite people to talk to.

• Waking up and knowing I had an open morning. I lingered in bed longer, watched Rachel Ray and got my workout in before lunch.

• Speaking of lunch, the Adams family met up for lunch today. It was nice to see the six of us together mid week.

• I needed to stop at Hobby Lobby for a gift card and I took my time wandering up and down the isles of the store admiring knick-knacks. I love that place!

• I received a great comment on my other blog today. It is such a wonderful blessing to have Tyson in Ashley’s life and to hear how he feels about her. I am so happy for them as a couple!

• Shane and I took a walk with Dreyfuss tonight. I really enjoy that time we have together in the evenings. We always have nice chats when we are out.

• Shane took out the trash this morning. I don’t know why I am glad that isn’t one of “my jobs” but I am.

• Headbands - headbands hide a world of “almost disasters” in the hair department. With me running late this morning, the headband saved me.

• I had a great day working on the little girl’s mural and I even finished it up today. They loved it and seeing faces of happy families means a lot.

• Being able to enjoy sunshine and fresh air as I drive with the windows down.

• I got home and snuck in a power nap with Dreyfuss before Shane got home from work.

• Once Shane got home from work we took Dreyfuss for a walk. We passed a home with horses and it made me think back to being a kid when all I wanted was a horse. When I was younger I would have walked up to any fence and pet any horse. Today that wouldn’t ring true. Funny how you don’t become braver as you get older.

• I was completely inspired this evening by the “Biggest Loser” Finale. I feel overwhelmed trying to lose 20 pounds and here are real people that lost over a hundred pounds each, doing it the right way by doing what Trainer Bob says “Eat a little less, move a little more.” It is a reality show where everyone wins, and I don’t mean money. I am really thankful to have a show like that on TV.

Early morning drive and chat with Shane. He drove me to meet my Dad and we talked about some awesome things for over an hour! Thanks!

I made lunch for my Dad. He was brave enough to try a new salad I am eating and he liked it. It was awesome having lunch in the middle of the week with him.

I enjoyed using my parents’ treadmill. Nice to workout watching what I want and in private.

Dreyfuss and I took an afternoon nap.

For dinner, Dad made his great enchilladas. It was fun to all be in the kitchen cooking. I was doctoring up my black beans for my veggie version and grabbed the wrong spice container. Instead of smokey, ground cummin, I pulled out ground cloves. So incase you were wondering, cloves doesn’t mix well with cilantro. But it made for a great laugh with the family!

Mom and I curled up in her bed and watched TV and waited for the pumpkin bread to bake. Always great to be spoiled by your mom.

• I had the chance to work on a small art project for church. I was asked to paint large child-like flowers to be used in the service for Sunday. Here’s what two cups of coffee helped me produce this morning. It is amazing how painting huge, fun flowers can make me sing around the house that early in the morning.

• I started burning my little Chocolate Chip Candle this morning. Yum!

• My favorite new find for today was on this beautiful blog -may we all be our individual selves.

”As life goes on it becomes tiring to keep up the character you invented for yourself, and so you relapse into individuality and become more like yourself every day. This is sometimes disconcerting for those around you, but a great relief to the person concerned.” -Agatha Christie

• OK - this is one of my ALL TIME FAVORITES - I got my hair cut today. I love all of the pampering that is part of haircut day; the washing of the hair, the cutting, the drying and the styling. And I even love the eyebrow waxing! It all really relaxes me. Well mostly I do, I always have a mini freak out about the haircut outcome. Still getting comfortable with this new one.

• It is Wednesday, which is card day for us. What I mean is, for those of you who don’t know, each Monday since I left for college my Dad has sent me a card. He has continued doing so and each week I get an amazing card on Wednesdays (sometimes Thursday) from my Dad. It is the best!

• Ma and Pa Adams stopped by tonight with a sweet treat for us. Pretty good way to kick off watching Idol Gives Back. It is a great evening of charity and giving.
